Spiritual Mutation

As one grows old, new thoughts come to mind. When there is leisure time without obligation, the mind seems to wander down paths not often traveled while life is being lived in the world of obligation and schedules. This past decade has been such a time. The journey gets more interesting as I near the end. What an old man says is no longer anything to cause surprise.  On one occasion I was rather adamant about a matter just before I was leaving a position of responsibility. After I had vented and expressed my "inspired" opinion, a young man stood to say, "We need not take into account what brother Archie had to say, as he will soon be leaving".
With that said let me throw out an idea that has been showing up in my early morning thoughts. Metamorphosis  is a process by which in nature, one creature becomes another: example; a fat green worm through thos process becomes a beautiful butterfly. To reproduce it must be the butterfly.  The green worm can do little more than eat and weave a cocoon. It takes a butterfly to reproduce..
The evolutionist have told us that from time to time there is a mutation in nature that may produce a new creature, since we are having a really hard time finding "missing links" in the progression. This mutation may take rather drastic changes, in spite of Darwin's slow evolutionary changes a rule.  We hear of different groups of humanoids in the past that have come and gone. For some reason we seem to have won out. In spite of small ecological and possibly geographical variations which give us slight differences, we humans are today pretty uniform in our DNA.
I am proposing that in modern history we have had one major mutation which is changing the destiny of the race.
This mutation in modern history was the virgin birth of Jesus.  Mary was impregnated by the presence of absolute love and truth. This gave Jesus a strange and different nature from all others who had been born. He was perfectly human as well as perfectly divine, without the male chromosome, but a divine one. He promised his followers that they would be able to receive this same change of nature as they were to become a new creation with the metamorphosis effected at the coming of the  Holy Spirit into the life of the believer.
For a true mutation to be effective in making measurable progression in evolution, it must be reproducible. Those who have "Experienced"  what the religious world calls "born again" have been touched by the same spirit of truth and love, to the extent that they have become "new creations in Christ Jesus".  As Saul of Tarsus stated concerning the future of this change; "we do not yet know what we will become, but we know we will be like Him". St. John stated that as many as believe are granted the privilege to become the sons of God. This process is highly subjective. St Peter says we are a "chosen race".  Does this mean a new race is being born? Again we read from Paul's pen that it is the spirit of God that bears witness to our spirit that we are children of God.
It is evident from Jesus' resurrection  and ascension that the next progression will be spiritual and unbounded and unfettered by physical limitations, sorrow or death.
Maybe this is enough to get us started.
